Plan manufacture around the finished delivery
When a manufactured product is travelling to another part of the UK, its packing and arrival arrangements deserve attention alongside the drawings. T-Rax serves buyers across Scotland from our manufacturing premises in Desford, Leicestershire, with the delivery destination and receiving conditions considered as part of the project.
We use our own vehicles and work closely with local couriers to serve customers around the country. Share the full delivery address at the enquiry stage so the appropriate transport arrangements can be discussed. If access involves additional routing or handling requirements, explain these rather than relying on the postcode alone.
Parts, fabrications and assembled products
Our manufacturing services include sheet laser cutting, folding, MIG, TIG and robotic welding, and powder coating. We work with steel, stainless steel and aluminium. SolidWorks and 3D CAD support design work, with prototype and batch production available.

Specify what needs to arrive
Tell us whether you need individual parts, subassemblies or an assembled product. Send drawings or a clear brief, quantities, material requirements and the intended finish. Explain any surfaces or components requiring particular protection and any restrictions on the size or weight of an individual package.
For the destination, identify the delivery contact, site access and unloading arrangements. If the order is for more than one location, provide a separate address and requirement for each. Any requested delivery sequence should be included in the brief so we can assess the practical scope before agreeing the work.
Packing and handling as part of the project
Our manufacturing, packing and fulfilment service is available for products we manufacture. Discuss how the items will be received, stored and unpacked so the packing requirements reflect their next use. We have 5,000 square feet of storage alongside 15,000 square feet of manufacturing space; any project-specific storage arrangement needs to be agreed.
Where reusable product handling is part of the requirement, ask about stillage design and manufacture. Include the load dimensions, weight and intended movement so a suitable design brief can be developed.
