15,000 sq ft of manufacturing space, 5,000 sq ft of storage and a team of 10+ staff. T-Rax combines SolidWorks design with sheet laser cutting, folding, welding, powder coating and assembly.
Our manufacturing capabilities
From our Leicestershire facility, T-Rax supports projects from design and prototyping through to batch manufacture, finishing, assembly and dispatch. We manufacture one-off components and fabrications as well as production runs in the thousands.
Sheet laser cutting, CNC folding, welding and powder coating are carried out in-house. Tube laser cutting and galvanising are arranged through external suppliers.
CAD design and engineering
- Design software: SolidWorks 3D CAD, supported by 2D drawing preparation.
- Design support: design for manufacture, value engineering and prototype development.
- Accepted file formats: STEP, DXF, DWG, PDF and SolidWorks files.
- Approval: customer approval of drawings before manufacture.
Provide the current drawing revision and identify critical dimensions, materials and finish requirements so the specification can be reviewed before production.
In-house sheet laser cutting
- Equipment: 2026 Amada ENSIS, 9 kW.
- Maximum sheet size: 4,000 × 2,000 mm.
- Materials: mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
- Cutting thickness: up to 25 mm, with suitability confirmed for the material, part geometry and required finish.
Tube laser cutting is available through our external suppliers. Share the tube profile, dimensions, material and required features for review.
In-house CNC sheet metal folding
Our two Amada press brakes provide the following machine capacities:
- 3 m Amada press brake: 130-tonne capacity, long-stroke configuration.
- 4 m Amada press brake: 220-tonne capacity.
Folding suitability depends on the material, thickness, bend length, tooling and component geometry. We review the drawing to confirm the appropriate process and achievable dimensions.
Welding and fabrication
- Processes: MIG, TIG and robotic welding.
- Materials: steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
- Fabrication weight: up to 5 tonnes.
- Production scope: prototypes, individual fabrications and repeat batches.
Send the fabrication dimensions, weight and weld requirements so we can review the complete assembly and manufacturing approach.
Powder coating, galvanising and assembly
- In-house powder coating: oven dimensions of 4 m × 2 m × 2 m.
- Galvanising: arranged through external suppliers, with component suitability reviewed for each project.
- Assembly: assembly of products manufactured by T-Rax, with the scope agreed to your specification.
The powder-coating oven dimensions describe the equipment space. Component fit and handling clearance are checked for each enquiry. Include your finish specification and any assembly requirements with the drawings.
Manufacturing space and production capacity
- Manufacturing area: 15,000 sq ft.
- Storage area: 5,000 sq ft.
- Team: 10+ staff.
- Current operation: 8 hours per day.
- Planned expansion: working towards a two-shift operation.
- Order quantities: from one-offs to production runs in the thousands, depending on the project.
Packing, storage and dispatch
For products we manufacture, we can provide assembly, protective packing, customer-specific labels and paperwork, storage and dispatch. Packing options include individual packs, component kits, boxes, crates, wrapped pallets and reusable packaging.
Our storage space supports stock holding, call-off orders and agreed scheduled releases. We use our own vehicles and work with local couriers for UK deliveries. Overseas transport can be arranged by T-Rax or collected through your nominated carrier.
Quality and project documentation
We are working towards ISO 9001 certification.
Customer drawings are approved before manufacture. Include any inspection, material certification, traceability and reporting requirements in your enquiry so the documentation scope can be confirmed alongside the manufacturing specification.
