Manufactured in Desford. Delivered across the UK.

One point of contact for your design, fabrication, assembly and packing requirements.

Define the complete fabrication

For a larger assembly or a group of related components, the overall dimensions and finished weight are useful starting points. We manufacture fabrications up to 5 tonnes at our Desford, Leicestershire base, serving customers across the UK, including the South West. Tell us how the product is intended to be used and which parts must arrive together. Our services include sheet laser cutting, folding, MIG, TIG and robotic welding, and powder coating.

Make size and handling requirements clear

Send an overall drawing as well as individual component details. Identify the material, finish, assembly arrangement and any dimensions that govern fit. For a large fabrication, provide the expected finished weight and describe the facilities available at the delivery site.

  • Give overall dimensions and the quantity of each assembly.
  • Identify any parts intended to be supplied separately.
  • Specify critical interfaces and the current drawing revision.
  • State the delivery postcode and describe vehicle access.
  • Explain the unloading arrangements and any receiving restrictions.

These details allow the manufacturing, packing and transport requirements to be considered together. Any special handling requirement should be raised at quotation stage.

Develop a prototype or plan a production batch

We use SolidWorks 3D CAD and accept STEP, DXF, DWG, PDF and IGES files. Prototype and batch production are available. Set out any drawing review or approval stages required for your project. Orders can range from one-off products to batches of thousands, depending on the project.

Our facilities include 15,000 sq ft of manufacturing space and a separate 5,000 sq ft storage area. See our manufacturing capabilities and capacity for more detail, and include your expected repeat quantities when discussing the initial order.

Group related parts for the next stage

Where an order contains several fabricated components, consider whether you need them grouped into sets for each product or destination. Provide a list showing the contents and quantities of each proposed set, plus any pack identification and protection instructions. We manufacture, assemble and pack our own products; our packing and fulfilment service can be reviewed as part of the same brief.

Delivery arrangements use our own vehicles and couriers for UK and overseas destinations. Confirm the South West delivery address and receiving arrangements when you request a quotation.

Questions about larger and grouped orders

Does the 5-tonne capability mean my assembly can be manufactured?

Weight is one part of the assessment. Send the dimensions, construction details, material and finish so we can review the particular fabrication and its handling requirements before confirming suitability.

Can one production batch be released in smaller quantities?

Share the total quantity, proposed release sizes, destinations and storage requirements. We can then discuss the production, packing and delivery requirements together and agree an arrangement suited to the particular order.
