Subcontract Manufacturing
A fabrication partner for manufacturers who need dependable support with components, sub-assemblies and repeat production.
Bring us your drawings and production requirements. We will help define a clear manufacturing scope, from material to finished metalwork.
Extend your manufacturing resources
When you need external fabrication support, the handover should be clear. T-Rax Fabrications works with customers to understand the part, the specification and its role in the wider production process, whether the requirement is a new product, a repeat component or additional support for a project.
We can review individual operations or a combined fabrication package. The aim is to agree what will be supplied, how it will be checked and when it is needed before production starts.
A connected range of manufacturing services
- CAD design and design-for-manufacture review.
- Sheet and tube laser cutting.
- CNC sheet metal folding.
- MIG and TIG welding and fabricated assemblies.
- Powder coating and galvanising options.
- Prototype, bespoke and repeat batch requirements.
Make the specification work for production
We review drawings and raise questions about material, tolerances, finishes and assembly interfaces before agreeing the route through manufacture. Where a design change could simplify production, our cost and value engineering support can help you assess it without changing the part’s intended function.
Plan repeat work with clear information
Tell us the initial batch quantity, likely annual demand and delivery pattern. We can discuss how these requirements affect the quotation and production plan. Capacity, lead times and any scheduled delivery arrangements must be confirmed for the order.
Inspection and handover
Identify critical characteristics, sample approval requirements and the records you need with the parts. Drawing revisions, supplied components and acceptance criteria should be agreed before release to production.
Can you manufacture to our drawings?
Send the latest revision and relevant specifications. We will assess the manufacturing requirements and confirm any questions or proposed changes.
Can you take on only one stage of the process?
We can review enquiries for individual processes as well as combined fabrication packages. Include the condition of incoming parts and the required output.
